CustomerReviews offers various integrations for automated review requests, allowing businesses to easily collect customer feedback. In this article, you’ll read how Customer Reviews works to ensure fair and reliable customer reviews. Through strict control mechanisms, transparent procedures, and compliance with laws and regulations, we actively combat fake reviews.

Already a Customer?

Every customer gets their own review page within CustomerReviews. This page is displayed organically along with your score and number of stars. CustomerReviews is also a Google Partner, which means review stars can automatically be loaded into Google ads when you meet Google’s guidelines. As a Google partner, reviews can also be published within Google Shopping and Google My Business. Within Google Shopping, your recommendation score and number of reviews are included. Within Google My Business, your score and number of reviews are published.

On our review pages, we publish both the average review score from the past 12 months as well as the total review score, to give a good picture of the current experience with this company. The figures are calculated based on an average and are not dependent on other factors. Read more.

CustomerReviews values the reliability of reviews highly. Real reviews and stories, written by customers who have actually purchased a product or service. Our review system actively invites customers to leave a review. To verify the reliability of reviews, we have built barriers into our system to ensure that the given reviews come from real customers. Sometimes it still happens that a review is fake. When you use our review system and suspect this, you can report the review. Our review specialists will then further investigate the review.

Reviews cannot be modified or deleted by the company where you made a purchase or received a service. A company can respond to it, so that any complaint can be resolved. Negative experiences are therefore also shown. The given review may be adjusted afterward, but only the customer themselves can do this. Moreover, we always link to the original review. CustomerReviews can remove a review, but only does so if it doesn’t comply with our guidelines or when personal information is shared. View our terms and conditions here.

Our review specialists are happy to inform you about this. Together we’ll devise an approach to collect as many reliable reviews as possible. You can also already “warm up” customers for this. For example, announce to customers in advance that they will receive an invitation to leave a review and tell them that you value this highly.

Our advice is not to do this, as a customer might perceive this as steering. Google also has certain guidelines for this, read more about it. Additionally, since May 28, 2022, new rules apply for online sales. New European guidelines better protect consumers online. This includes the question: Can I give incentives for reviews? Despite our negative advice, we, as Kiyoh, cannot exclude this 100%, unfortunately. Outside of our mailing, a business owner might still offer incentives on their own initiative. Think of their own mailing, personally offering an incentive, etc. If you as a customer want to use this in review invitations, you are required to mention this according to the new legislation when publishing your reviews.

As a review writer, you can have your review modified or deleted. You do this by contacting us in writing so we can verify your email address. Buyers of a product or service may write one review about their experiences with the company. We do this to prevent abuse. This way, satisfied customers or acquaintances of a company cannot or can barely manipulate the review score. Our systems are set up to notify us when someone tries to give multiple reviews. It is possible to give more than one review if you have purchased a different service or product from the same company.
