4 sterren: goede service, goed behandeld
In just over a half a year, I got my driver\'s license. Here\'s what I can say about my experience. First off, the negatives (none). Other than just the general expenses and the patience you need when learning to drive, I have nothing but praises for this driving school. Many people have concerns about the whole process of getting a driver\'s license. Expenses, schedules, quality, etc. I can say that none of these were a cause for concern during my time as a student driver. The kind people at the management office are very helpful. Documents and authorizations with the CBR and city hall were taken care of with almost no bureaucratic hassle. Now about the driving... The experience I had was very rewarding. I couldn\'t have asked for a better driving instructor than Jan van Genderen. Patience, insight, and expertise. These three characteristics make up a skilled teacher. The willingness to discuss and investigate the areas upon which I could improve in my driving, really made the learning experience enjoyable. It was a dynamic process of understanding, where disagreements could be talked about in healthy discussion. This resulted in a very effective student-teacher environment between Jan and I. He is the first name you should ask for when embarking on the quest your driver\'s license at Rijschool Fly-Over. The respect he gave to lesson times, as well as the flexibility he had with regards to adjustments, really made it easy to plan the lessons around my other commitments. Along my student driver journey, there was a natural evolution not only with my driving ability, but with language as well. At the beginning, we spoke only in English. By the end of my lessons, we were speaking in straight Dutch. I didn\'t only learn how to drive at Rijschool Fly-Over, I learned a language as well. You know you really enjoyed your time as a student driver when you feel bittersweet about finally passing the practical exam. On one hand, I was ecstatic about finally getting it done. But at the same time, I realized that my time as a student driver has come to an end. I feel a sense of fulfillment, after these nine months. Learning not only the rules of the road, but also some rules of life. Kijk niet in de spiegel naar anderen (Don\'t compare yourself to others). Gas los bij kruispunten (Give yourself time to make the right decision). Ga gewoon lekker rijden (Trust yourself, enjoy it). Overall, I wouldn\'t have changed anything about my time in the student driver\'s seat. I can look back proudly at my growth as a driver, and as a person. The exemplary teacher that I had, left a lasting impression on me with regards to sincerity of character and faith in ability. Bedankt Jan, succes met alles.
