Goede lessen

I had sent you an email before, stating that I am not too happy with the organization of the course. I had a great experience when taking a statistics course but couldn't say the same now. One thing is the time schedule and amount which had to be taught at this time, the other the course material itself. Apparently, the slides which had been used during the course couldn't be shared with us, so that nobody could duplicate them. I often had the feeling that Jan wasn't a 100% familiar with the slides we had in front of us. This is especially a problem when we are doing exercises. It is just much more convenient if everybody has a slide with question and answer plus way how to get there (like on the slides) has in front of them. The focus can then be a 100% what we are talking about, rather than taking notes and pictures of the slides on the board. When we are at home we can then look at the exercises again and easily retrace the way, rather than trying to figure it out ourselves again. Also, not all material necessary had been discussed during the course.

Overall, the course didn't help out much. To start with, setting up an additional paid class and rescheduling the original class made me cancel a lot of things such as language courses and work, because I just couldn't attend them with such change. Next thing, the teacher wasn't wiling to finish the material if we were running out of time. His suggestion was "You guys should read this at home". I do believe that running out of time is the fault of the teacher and the organisation of the course as a whole, but certainly not the students'

Ik vond het heel erg fijn om in korte tijd deze stof door te nemen. Ik vond het super dat dit voor deze keer gratis was en hoop dat dat in de toekomst vaker zo is!

De training heeft me veel minder geleerd dan ik had gehoopt. De docent wist veel themakennis niet, waardoor ze ons vaak niet goed kon helpen. Ze kon alleen vertellen over haar voorbereide tekst, maar weinig over de totale kennis van het thema. Daarnaast heeft ze verkeerde informatie gegeven over de te leren stof. Wat wel fijn was, dat de basis echt behandeld is.

The teacher taught really well. He not only extended the sessions to further help us prepare for this exam, his help was also on point, on the things we needed to know to pass this exam.

Geweldige uitleg!!

Always a great experience when Hicham is teaching.

De docent had veel kennis over de stof en over het te maken tentamen. Verder werd er rekening gehouden met de kennis die was weggezakt na statistiek 1. De uitleg was daarnaast compact en duidelijk.

We zaten in de Lammerszaal te wachten toen Naomi binnenkwam. Ze zette gelijk de toon met haar enthousiasme en wist gelijk iedereen te boeien. Dit hield ze haar hele presentatie lang vol; knap! In haar enthousiasme praatte ze wel erg vlot. Voor mij was dit niet storend, vond dit juist prettig. Maar ik kan me voorstellen dat anderen dit wel storend vinden omdat ze liever hebben dat iemand zeer zeer langzaam praat zodat ze alles kunnen meetypen.

Ik vond het jammer dat er maar twee onderwerpen van het hele kwartaal besproken werden. Daarnaast ging de presentatie erg snel, maar dit werd op een gegeven moment wel wat beter.

Docent was heel entosiast en vertelde de belangrijkste dingen die zij had moetten leren voor de tentamen. Ze betrok haar ervaring in alle slides.

Gaf duidelijke verbinden weer tussen vorig jaar en dit jaar. Legde de stof in makkelijke termen uit met leuke voorbeelden, hierdoor was het makkelijk te volgen.

Heldere uitleg, en de top down uitleg was zo veel logischer dan hoe het in de colleges wordt behandeld.
