I find this English course very useful for immersing myself in the subject area of ​​business. I liked the materials used in the course. Thanks to the course, I learned to speak publicly, make presentations, and enriched my vocabulary. Thanks to our teacher Richard!

Het concept van de cursus vind ik erg leuk. De docent was erg goed in de uitleg. The teacher was very helpful and good in explanation. Really good course for refresh the grammar and vocabulary.

I found the course to be extremely beneficial in the sense that it helped me get a good understanding of the basics of the language in a short time. It was, of course, a little intense, but I think it was useful to give me some momentum. I enjoyed the course thoroughly and Letty, our teacher was a wonderful instructor. She explained each concept well and answered our questions in a manner that I could easily understand. I also think the structure of 'flipping the classroom' works well for online classes as well. Over all, a pleasant experience.

I really enjoyed going to this course. It was fun and the teacher always gave good explanations.

I attended the online evening class for Dutch course stepping stone 1. I like that fact that the teacher made us read and present one or two news articles during each class which was nice. Also, very little english was used in class and mostly all the communication was in Dutch, which was motivating us to speak in Dutch with each other. What I noticed is the style of teaching was different than my previous kickstart courses. We needed to read the lesson and make exercises as homework before each class after which it is discussed during the class. My previous experience in Kickstart was the other way around i.e., doing the lesson for the first time together with the teacher and then doing the remaining exercises in that lesson as homework. It is a personal preference that I prefer the second approach more.

The course is nicely structured, and the additional material helps with improving quickly.

Recommended, great teachers and usual course materials

The course is helpful but would be nice if the dutch words or sentences are translated (explained) in English as well. Since I am a beginner in dutch language I don't really know much of the vocabulary yet.

Lovely teacher and material

The lessons and explanations were clear. The texts in the book give useful vocabulary and sentences to remember. The exercises are quite different : reading, talking, writing… The little stories about dutch way of life are great. I didn’t understand before there would be so much homework to remember vocabulary. It would be easier if we didn’t have to go from the book to the handout and change again.

Fast paced and not enough depth and time given to explain the foundations of Dutch language. The teaching materials and instructions were very short and all in Dutch, very quickly deep dived into topics and words too complicated for A0 students who has no foundations in Dutch. The teacher is nice and sweet but she is not great with English language and many times she struggled to explain the lessons to her students.

Excellent teachers and staff!

The only downside is number of lesson hours are not enough for the topics covered.

I took the online B2 course with Letty & I have to say I really enjoyed it. The lessons were very informative, we did a lot of speaking, as well as reading, listening and grammar exercises. The teacher was very helpful and responded quickly and kindly when sending the homework assignments for example. I feel a lot more confident with my Dutch skills and I look forward to taking the next course!

Het was leuk en Letty was een geweldige lerares. Het was vooral gericht op lezen en spreken, maar dat was wat ik zocht. Ik vind ook de optie het online te kunnen doen echt leuk!

I always have a nice experience with Kickstart. This time I took the online Stepping Stone III course with Joke, my first time trying an online course with Kickstart. The online format worked well and Joke is a great teacher who knows how to facilitate an online calssroom and keep it engaging. She points out when we make grammar mistakes in an encouraging way, and whenever there is a ***l in the conversation during class as can often happen in an online format she is able to keep the conversation running smoothly and keep students engaged. This is not an easy thing to do and Joke really did an amazing job on this. For the homework, I found the schrijfopdrachten especially helpful because we received specific feedback from the teacher before class. It helped me understand what I needed to work on and gave me concrete examples of things to ask about during class. Overall a great experience where I learned a lot. Thank you to the Kickstart team for a great course :)

I had a very nice and helpful course with Joke Bouwmeester. She is definitely one of the best Dutch teachers I've ever had. The lessons were well-structured, exciting and interactive. I was forced to speak a lot (thanks for this!), so after starting as one of the group's worst students, I got up to the same level as them. I genuinely enjoyed this course, I am sure it significantly contributed to developing my Dutch language skills.

Very nice course where I improved my Dutch, there were a lot of opportunities to speak and practice Dutch. The course was well designed. Carine is a good teacher and explains the grammar very clearly.

I feel like I learned a lot, but the lectures were sometimes unorganized and led to confusion or feeling very rushed just to get through content.

Lots of great content, lessons, homework support this course which aided learning of Dutch. Would take kickstart lessons again, even by zoom they are pretty good. Suggest in future smaller breakout groups for speaking practice would be good addition as limited chance to practice talking in the lessons.

Good online studies. However program is quite tight. Grammar is explained very fast. Woild be good to slow down a bit, and repeating 2nd time as for me. Also repeating at which page we are currently. Connection interrupts sometimes and my homemates might distract and i dont recognise which exersise we are doing.
