Odette was always extremely well prepared for all classes. She took the time to explain more difficult grammatical questions in English as requested by everyone in my student group. Even over Zoom, she was able to pivot her teaching strategies to ensure that we all understood and participated in the exercises. There was a lot of emphasis on speaking. She also took the time to practice listening exercises with us. The full course overview was very useful as well as the Kickstart materials.

Ik heb mij aangemeld voor kickstart omdat ik voor mijn studie een itp test moet afleggen. Sachi heeft er alles aan gedaan om mij hier ready voor te maken. De lessen waren effectief en ik heb heel erg veel geleerd.

I took summer classes on Zoom. I don't like video lesson but a teacher was great and she was used to hundle our class.

A colleague and myself followed a 10 hr Business Dutch writing course. We covered a lot of ground in the short time and there was a good mix of theory, practice and participation. Evelien, our teacher, created a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The course also worked extremely well on Zoom.

This Stepping Stone V course was my 6th course within a year at Kickstart School. I had a fantastic experience, as always, and will definately be returning for another course. I feel like I learnt so many new things in this course and the hours went by so quickly! The teacher always worked hard to ensure that every student recieved equal amounts of individual attention, and to ensure that every lesson was interesting for all of us. Highly recommended!

It has been a challenging experience. I have learnt a lot. Our teacher has been very patient. She makes sure that all the students get the same amount of individual attention. The learning platform is a great learning tool. The handout Kickstart provided us with, gave a lot of cultural insights into the current China. We had a lesson plan that the teacher followed but there was also room for some spontaneity. Although Chinese is quite a tough language to learn, all my class mates including me are still keen to carry on. We have been in class for 3 terms and we are still motivated. A job well done! Xiexie

I attended two courses of Chinese at the Kickstartschool since January 2020 (with the corona they swifted fluently to remote lessons, my compliments!) and I can really say I'm able to talk and understand some Chinese. Loved the classes; not too quick or slow and we discussed interesting subjects. Higly recommandable!

At the beginning, I felt that I might not be able to enjoy the class. However, I gradually realized that I was really enjoying. Our teacher, Maarten, was very enthusiastic and kind. He provided us with various information about Dutch language (e.g., linguistic backgrounds, the way to learn it). I hope to receive his lessons in the other class again.

The intensive Stepping Stone I has helped to understand Dutch better. Not only the extensive grammar and vocabulary, but also the culture itself. The class was proportional to the material and the speaking's turn. Additionally, the materials were also really nice as extra practices that are also posted on their internal online learning platform.

Just finished an intense 6 days doing Stepping Stone 1. I came in with a bit of Dutch, but poor grammar knowledge and this really helped be get a good grasp on some of the basics and will be a great help going forward. Our teacher, Maarten, was full of knowledge and very patient. He always had time to answer any questions and he created an environment in which nobody was afraid to ask. The course had a great mix of every aspect of learning a language and even in the virtual classroom I didn't feel like anything was missing - perhaps only a little of the social aspect and pre-and post-class chatting!

Fun yet really challenging. I feel 10 days is too short.

It was a nice course I learn a lot of new thing sometimes I feel that the other students are in more level than my and makes a little difficult but this just happen a few times it was a great course.

I progressed a lot with this course. And I feel more than anything I've gained the confidence to speak the language. I really liked that we barely spoke English in the class and even an explanation of new words was given in dutch to familiarize ourselves with the language and not resort to translations.

As a course I take on the side of my work, in the end of the day, 2.5 hours it is too long, tiring, so hard to enjoy.

The course Communicating in Chinese 2 was taught by a very enthusiastic teacher. The pace of the course was good, there was enough attention for every student. I enjoyed taking the course very much.

Easy to start and enroll at the level I wanted to start with. Once enrolled, all the remote lessons where very professional and I had all the material necessary. My professor was Paul Adventuur and he made all the classes fun and easy to understand the topics. He answered all the questions and addressed all the extra exercises or feedback we shared with him.

It was really good. The office was very proactive and helpful throughout the registration process. The teacher (Paul) was very good at explaining and answering questions, and of course, at the same time managing to make the experience fun. Thank you.

It was exactly what I was looking for: an intensive experience without lots of repetition to become perfect. It was professional, rigorous and fast.
