Paul is always patient and helpful in explaining the meaning of words and grammar in Dutch. He pushes us (in a good way) to speak Dutch using what we’ve known.

Very happy with the course. A good balance of grammar and conversation. Has really helped me to be able to communicate in Dutch in many situations.

I made an observation about something I did not like in the mid-course evaluation. I really like that my comment was taken seriously and even implemented. Thank you for listening. Feedback: - I dont like that we never read a text in the class. Perhaps not all but sometimes I would prefer that. - Also, for busy people sometimes its nice to integrate some of the work in the class :) Thank you for your time!

I’ve had a good experience with the company. However, this course is supposed to get you to B2, and I don’t think that’s where I am right now. It’s a good course but I think either it has to be broken down in pieces and dedicate more time. It also would’ve good to practice more different skills, because there are different gaps to reach B2

Good level of learning! Good teacher balancing correcting with encouraging! Too bad there is no digital easy help, mobile apps for in the go follow up

Nice Teaching and good materials. The connection and the visibility of the writing on whiteboards can be improved. So some facilities are worth investing for remote courses.

Maarten is a very engaging and helpful teacher. I have really enjoyed the lessons so far and was suprised by how well the remote lessons worked. I found the grammar a bit overwhelming at times, but I think that was just me! The handout and the supportive documents were very useful!

The course has been useful to get a first layer of knowledge in Dutch. Maarten is a good professor with a lot of passion for what he does. For sure, I’m satisfied with the overall course and outcome. (but I know I need to study more before starting the next course).

I had a lovely experience doing this course. Not only was my Professor Maarten an excellent professor, but the school as a whole was very helpful with regards to organising make up classes, admin etc. the rules as well as the grammar were taught well and the professor provided thorough explanations and examples. He also made the course interesting by giving us interesting facts in which certain rules/grammar/ etc. are used.

The speed of lessons was quite first so I needed to study a lot at home, but I couldn’t have enough time. However, I learned a lot about grammar which was really helpful. I had problems with my pronunciation, so I need to work on with that before going to the next level.

I have been following 3 Dutch course from this school and all of the teachers are very nice. The course is well designed for students. They always gave a homework with lots of list to do for the next class and it is all well equipped with the video explanation. The Handbook was effectively used in the class yet we still have a lot of rooms to practice speaking with other students. Though all my courses were remote, it was still very dynamic and fun to follow from home.

For the time given, the teacher made us talking only in Dutch and also we asked our questions in Dutch. Good initiatives are news of the week and the individual presentation. Also the breakout rooms.

I’m overall happy with the course, the only thing I did not like is that in order to cover more subjects (and pages in the book), we have to pre-study all the subjects in advance. I’d rather learn and practice those during the lesson

I love reverse classroom. And Letty is awesome.

I enjoyed having a small group and being able to practice dutch as I learned new words. Lucas was an excellent teacher, patient and always very engaged. This course should maybe last one year, so as to have the same rhythm and pace of learning, especially for those that are working. I truly enjoyed it and it has encouraged me to continue learning Dutch.

I had an unexcetionally good experince with the Step Up 1. Very helpful explanation by Lucas Amusems, which deepens my understanding of the grammars and words. the structure of the course is also nice and reasonable. The teacher is in my opinion actually way better in teaching quality than my previous experience with Kickstart school teachers

I recently completed the StepUp 1 course with Lucas. I found the homework material quite helpful and easy to use - if i wanted to do extra learning the homework allowed for more exercises. The lessons with Lucas were engaging despite being online, and he spent time to cover any questions or topics comprehensively. He was persistent in speaking Dutch and was patient as we practised our speaking skills.
