Good, but too much English spoken.

The classes were fun and easy to follow. Our teacher had a lot of extra material for us which was useful and we did a lot if talking in class!

Very professional and I felt that I improved a lot! Looking forward to my next course.

The course was just on the right level for a beginner. And Christine is a great knowledgeable teacher explaining everything in a good pace for everyone to follow.

I really wanted more activities like games in class or more using of a new material in actions.

I really enjoyed the Chinese class at Kicstart. It was a nice group of students and a very nice teacher. This course teaches some basic Chinese sentences and teaches you some culture. It is a difficult language but it is fun to do :)

I followed the Chinese course. It was very good, it's like opening a door to another world. This beginners course has a good timing and you will learn a lot in each class, but your level after the lessons will depend on how much effort you put into it studying at home. I'm very happy to finally understand what Mandarin is about.

I like the course but short

The school, the lessons, and the teachers are great. They have helped me to feel comfortable with my English, not to be afraid of speaking with others or making mistakes and to keep motivated. I'm really grateful!

The teacher was very friendly. She customised the classes to our suggestions (e.g. more speaking, some writing examples, etc.). She was also very patient and understanding but at the same time trying to stay firm. In general, my experience was very positive. Only, at the beginning of the course (as the timing of the lesson was quite tight), the number of students made it difficult for our teacher to focus on each one of us - especially regarding pronunciation. I know it's a group class, but the Chinese language can be tricky to get the correct way of speaking. All the same, the atmosphere in the class was relaxed and it was easy to follow the pace of the lesson.

I joined Kickstart’s first Communicating in Chinese level 1 course without a specific goal and basically because the opportunity came along. From my previous experience with Kickstart, I trusted it would be good - and it was. Xiyu is à good and engaging teacher who made our lessons enjoyable while maintaining a good pace, our small group enabled enough time for questions and discussions, the atmosphere is friendly and all staff are great. So rewarding to actually find yourself able to understand a few words in a Chinese dialogue on tv! Xiyu’s being Chinese and being able to tell us first hand about Chinese customs and culture is definitely a bonus.

The teacher was very understanding and fun. In the beginning we focused a lot on pronunciation and the pace increased over the weeks. We had a small group and we managed to cover a lot. Half way through the course more interactive speaking cards were introduced which I liked a lot. It is a very different kind of language than the ones I am accustomed to so it was a challenge. But by working hard it was still doable.

Being the first Chinese class group I was very satisfied. The material and facilities were excellent and the teacher was open to feedback and suggestions, adjusting the classes to attend our learning goals. The pace picked up along the course, which was an extra motivation to study at home (much needed) and to continue with the follow-up course. The course does not focus on writing but characters are presented whenever you ask for. Highly recommended!

Very professional approach to language training and its logistics.

Excellent facilities and efficient teaching. I enjoyed that we did not necessarily stick to the lesson plan 100%, and so allowed freedom and flexibility in discussion

I feel that i did learn about the KNM knowledge through this course but teacher does not go into details of explaining things, leaving me confused after class. I find that our teacher is little impatient and expected us to know everything, I would appreciate if I could vet some explaination while going through the practice questions. Im a little disappointed about this course. There is also not enough practice on listening and writing, there is no correction on our actual writing so we do not know our mistake.
