I have enjoyed my lessons at Kickstart

Very professional and great space to learn a new language. Felt comfortable to make mistakes and to learn. Natalie is a wonderful lecturer!

Despite being a zoom class, I think the teaching was good and the learning as well! We could go without being really tired. I miss more time talking, but I liked the dynamich with vocabulary and listening and also walking in pairs..

It was really helpful and the group was super nice!

I liked the course as it was very structured, encompassing all necessary topics like grammer, making conversations, basics. And the class was also organised nicely where in every student gets the required attention and the chance to ask questions.

Pros of the course: - interactive, a lot of talking in Dutch - multidimensional, a lot of materials and content - useful grammar as well as everyday phrases/sayings taught by the teacher, that you would probably not learn that easily on your own - fun and comfortable, and good group size - sufficiently challenging and educative Cons: - 3 hour sessions on Saturday mornings were rather long - more shorter sessions (2-2,5 hour) may be less exhausting - the kickstartnet could be improved for a couple of reasons. First, it's sometimes annoying to switch between the homework plan and the exercises, and to try to find the homework from the list of a lot of exercises. Hence it would be useful to be able to click to the homework straight from the homework plan (for example) It is also difficult to memorise or keep count on which exercises I have already done and which ones still need to be done. Therefore, the page could be a bit more structured, perhaps the exercises could be organised based on the week/homework and then add extra exercises underneath. Moreover, there could be a check button next to an exercise link whenever it is done/completed, or alternatively a list of of exercises that are done. - sometimes the video quality and its sound was bad (shared screen through Zoom)

Our teacher was very good at making the lessons fun and easy to understand, I felt comfortable trying to speak without being afraid to make mistakes. I got a very good understanding of the Dutch culture too - opinions, rules and oranje - it was good to see my own impressions confirmed. The course has a very fast pace and I learnt a lot - also thanks to the ample homework. I made sure to plan in a lot of time for it, so it went well.

I have learned a lot. I especially value the speaking and writing exercises, as well as the culture-related texts and the additional small book. I prefer putting more focus on the texts from the book and perhaps exclude the booklet.

This is my second language course with Kickstart and it has been really fantastic so far. The school managed to adapt quickly to the COVID situation and offer classes remotely that are as good as traditional sit in sessions. Splendid !!!

I think the course is organized well by making good use of technology - in my case that is with the combination of the portal and zoom. I am also glad the class is delivered on sat a.m., which make me possible to join outside of NL even with different time zones. The teacher is professional and explained clearly. the class size of 4-5 students on a zoom class is good - allow good portion of time for each student to participate.

I was able to develop my Dutch speaking and comprehension during my time with the school.

This is a great course to start with. It helps you understand the grammer and basic foundations of the language. The additional materials provided by Kickstart is very good and the teacher uses a variety of techniques which is good. But you have to put in alot of self study to truly pick up vocabulary. A good starter course! I would recommend it!

The class is intense but gave me a great opportunity to start learning Dutch. I can understand the basics of Dutch through these lessons which I wanted to learn. The lessons are well-balanced with listening, speaking and writing. I could develop each area. The teacher constructed the course hours well. I wish to continue to the next course when I have time next time. I did not find difficulty to participate online.

Ms Letty is very friendly, forthcoming, structured and clear in her teaching methods. She explains things in a simple and easy to understand manner. I have already recommended another friend to the course in 2021!

I really really enjoyed the class with Letty. She is an amazing teacher. She knows what she is doing, works from a plan, always well prepared, gives us tips to understand the language and pushes us out of our comfort zone. I am very satisfied with the course.

Kathleen taught us perfectly the grammer to move towards Level A2; She helped us in improvement of all reading, writing, speaking aspect. Thank you for improving my Dutch.

The overall experience was great. Kathleen and Daniela was extremely friendly and helped with any questions and made it an unforgettable experience. I could not ask for an for an more understanding and patient teacher than Kathleen.

Maarten was an excellent instructor. He was patient and gave us a lot of examples for the various grammar rules. He didn't mind explaining some parts again if we had any doubts. The supplementary material was good. The course was held online due to COVID-19. Looking forward to the next course, Stepping Stone I.

-Maarten is a very friendly teacher who makes sure that his students are understanding the material -Online learning was great -We had a grammar and vocabulary game during the last class of the course, I would suggest teachers should play more games like this! It was fun and a nice way to review the material.

I found the beginner course for Dutch extremely good. It was easy to follow and the teaching was excellent. In the beginning it felt like there was too much hitting you at once but later in the course it felt bearable, and I really enjoyed every lesson.

I am satisfied with the course. Specifically I gave a feedback that speaking should be more and it was implemented immediately from next lessons!
