I really enjoyed the course

The instructor had a balance between having a high expectation of learning, and supporting the needs in the class. They were willing to slow down as needed and pace lessons appropriately, getting "distracted" with worthwhile questions that benefited learning. The learning platform is less successful in helping students gain access and motivating students to access resources.

The remote course was as good as the face to face course

Good course with a good teacher and any time I need to contact the office they were quick to respond.

I thoroughly enjoyed my sessions and course with KickStart, I would highly recommend their courses.

There is a balance between writing, speaking, listening and reading during the course. The homeworks help you a lot. It was very interesting to read 2 books in dutch and also to prepare and present a topic in dutch.

If you are looking to improve your grammatical knowledge (for me in Dutch) the Stepping Stone course seems to do a great job. Maarten Smit was a great teacher who enjoys teaching the course. However, the online platform with the homework was a bit complicated and not very user friendly. You can get away with mostly using the text book.

Super experiance

I found the level of the students very similar and that I found great. I could see they were all very motivated and that helped me improve too. The teacher was great, had a lot of patience but kept a good pace throughout the course, I was never bored and even though it was via zoom the 2 hours went very quickly.

Very well organized and totally beneficial for me. I feel that my dutch knowledge is improved by far.

Voor mijn recente privé cursus (NT2 grammar refresher cursus en schrijven) vind Ik Lucas een heel goede docent. Hij heeft passie en vaardigheid om les te geven i een vreemde taal. Bovendien luistert hij goed en is creatief welk deel zou ik nog meer moeten leren! Het afgelopen juli-augustus 2020 had ik Deeuwertje als mijn docent voor de online SSV cursus. Ze is een heel goede docent! Ze heeft passie en supportief en luistert goed en creatief hoe we de grammatica en lezen beter begrijpen. Daarom ben ik weer bij kickstart teruggekomen voor een volgende cursus.

I really enjoyed the course since it was very informative. The teacher is very nice and impressive.

I like the course first the on-line allows me some flexibility to take the lesson regardless of where I am. The course is with a lot of time for practice and I for questions the we can ask to the teacher by email. So she is very accessible.

I very much enjoyed taking Stepping Stone 1 with teacher Jeanine. She's a great teacher and was very patient with us. The class size was also great (not too many people, there were just 5 of us) and it allowed us to learn very quickly. I wish there was more time to practice speaking as I still don't feel very comfortable forming sentences. Reading, building our library of vocabulary and grammar was sufficient. Teacher could have given us some homework to make sure we're practicing outside of class as well.

I thoroughly enjoyed the course and I have learnt a lot! Remote classes are very convenient to avoid travel times. Classes are engaging and teachers flexible. Would definitely recommend.

I had a great time in this course, because of the great teacher Brenda, and of course I can't deny that the quality of the class and the stuff the school offers is very good, however, I learned a lot of things that will help with my exam, so thank you very much.

Despite of it was a bit difficult, it was very useful! After this course I realised that I can understand people and,of course, I can talk now. Our teacher Mieke was very friendly and always help with us with explanations! It is great that we had a face-to-face class. Highly recommended!
