Dear Rindy, Thanks for your comments. It is indeed useful to have quizzes every now and then, especially for things that you need to memorise, like vocabulary. That is why we have in-class vocabulary quizzes at the very start of most of the lessons, as well as extra quizzes and crosswords on KickstartNet so that you can practise in between the lessons. We would recommend to make use of the extra week of access to KickstartNet that you have to review all the material and let it sink in a bit more. All the best with your continued language learning! Excellent teacher. Lovely rooms The chovokate cookies are a fantastic touch! Course materials are ok but could be much better. The most helpful grammar excercises are by far the ones in Coutinho, but don't always work to the students' advantage. For example, there is no way to self-check certain excercises, and for some others, if you check after entering each answer, Coutinho doesn't update the oversll score as you enter additional answers. My biggest disappointment is with the book. It's so important to learn the rules well, but they are all in Dutch, at a time when one diesn't yet fully understand Dutch. So the Kickstart handout is useful, although it doesn't cover all the topics. The grammar sections in the book don't stand-out enough; the layout could be better. And it would be better to have cross-references : for example in the various sections dealing with modal verbs (p. 81 and 135) and the various uses of "zullen", which are covered in different parts of the book.

We have, however, put all the answers on KickstartNet as a back-up as well, so that you can check the answers yourself as you go through the exercises. We understand that it can be difficult to learn about grammar rules in Dutch and that is why we created our own Kickstart handout to supplement the book, which you mentioned was helpful. There are also some films on KickstartNet (which have been just released by the University of Groningen), which explain all the grammar from 'Nederlands in Gang' in English. It was an amazing course, I really enjoyed lessons from Chimei, and I feel I understand quite easy very difficult rules of Dutch with the way Chimei explains things. I hope she can give us the next course.
Stepping Stone 1 was a useful course in my journey of learning dutch. I found the classes interesting and fun.

Had lots of fun, had a good amount of conversation, the only thing I would recommend is a bit more time spent with pronunciation.
We had 4 different teachers during the course which made the flow of the course not so good. Our last teacher was the best she really knows how to make the class interesting and fun.Also she has really good teaching skills and always made sure that we all understood everything. I wish she was our teacher from the begining.

The course materials are good as well as classroom facilities. The teachers are helpful and friendly.
I like alll the teachers we have. however, i feel SS1 is much higher level than startpack. i took so long time for my homework.

The course has been very helpful in my understanding of Dutch and to use it in my day to day interactions.
Kathleen was a very patient and fun teacher since a first introduction to a language is always the most difficult. The course is challenging (you will learn a lot in a short time!) but is focused on very practical vocabulafy and grammar that you can start using right away in real life. i totally recommend this course as a first step to learning Dutch.

My Nederland is better. I'm starting took in Nederland not only in school but also everywhere. This a very good point... I fell more successful. I will continue learning course. I like the way how leare here . its perfect for me .
