Kickstart is always very easy to communicate with. I adviced the school to everyone I talk to. I think it is the best language course in Den Haag, with price range, quality of teaching, and atmosphere.

The teachers, lessons plans everything is very good. I already rocemmended to my friends.

I had a great time and learned a lot, having online classes is not easy yet I enjoyed the group and the lessons very much! Dank je wel Andie for your patience!

Andie is a great teacher who made me interested in the Dutch language and pushed me to keep learning. Her friendliness and care that she puts into the class made everyone feel welcomed and at ease with the language. The staff is also extremely helpful and they always respond very swiftly to any questions i had regarding the course.

I really enjoyed the Starter pack semi-intensive online class. Andie Bouma was an excellent and patient teacher. I struggled a little with the academic-ness of the class and wish that I had studied more and had more conversational Dutch outside of class. Overall, I would recommend Kickstart and encourage anyone who wants to learn Dutch to use it!

I really enjoyed studying with Andie Im not sure if it would be amazing with another teacher but my experience with this course with Andie was very nice. She types the sentences in zoom chat also so that I can also write it down and she helps with correcting my wrong sentences. It was awkward with studying random people online but Andie made it bearable and it was very helpful!

I really enjoyed the Dutch Conversation Café. It was exactly what I was looking for. It had the best parts of a language course for me: speaking with interesting people while building confidence in Dutch without the pressure of lots of homework. The course was well organized, with activities that helped improve weaker areas, especially sentence structure. It’s a great way to build a solid foundation before moving to the next level. I noticed I felt much less hesitant to start speaking Dutch afterward. I’ve already signed up to take it again.

Before I joined the class, I didn’t have confidence in speaking English and I was afraid of making mistakes. But since I joined the class, I have gained confidence and started to enjoy communicating with English speakers. In the Intermediate Communication class, I was able to learn and discuss with great international classmates and a warm teacher. I think this three-month course is a good starting point for continuing my English studies. In my job, I need English communication skills, so I would like to keep studying and improve them. I also hope to come back to the Netherlands. Thank you very much for this opportunity!

I am able to speak in Dutch as a beginner. Andie- my course teacher had been very cooperative and patient.

Another positive learning experience with Kickstart School. Our class didn't receive the homework email before the first class, so we didn't start with the homework our teacher thought we'd have done. Other than that, it went quite well, and I made progress.

- Very engaging and interesting lessons, with lots of opportunities for speaking practice and a fun, comfortable atmosphere. - I liked the insistence on always speaking Dutch and explaining unknown words or phrases in Dutch, even when this was difficult. - The supporting materials were clear, easily accessible and useful. - One point of improvement: a bit more structure on what is being learnt in each lesson would be good. The lessons were roughly grouped according to the chapters of the book, but did not always match, and the grammar topics especially felt somewhat random.

Once again, a great experience! This time, we had a set of private classes for a small group, and it worked really well, as it allowed us to stay in touch with the Dutch language between two stepping-stone courses. A huge appreciation note to our teacher, Carmen — a great professional who strikes the right balance between being demanding and rigorous while remaining flexible to the group and its needs. Well done!

I had the pleasure of participating in the inburgering preparation course led by Harriet between January and April 2026. The lessons were extremely educational and practice-oriented. Harriet knows the ins and outs of the inburgering exams and helped not only with the material but also with tips and tricks for the exam. She struck a great balance between teaching the material and linking it to everyday life in the Netherlands. From day one, she created a learning environment where we felt encouraged and safe to speak in Dutch. She helped us overcome our initial hesitation with her warm, respectful, and open-minded approach. With Harriet in our corner, I felt like we had a coach who cheered us on every step of the way—even when we could not prepare for class. As a bonus, Harriet is an open-minded, open-hearted, and bright teacher who welcomes students from different parts of the world and genuinely cares about her students' progress and well-being. Her classes quickly became something I looked forward to every week, and now I feel confident taking the exams in the coming days.
