We, the Deep Democracy Institute, planned a large 7 day conference in Amsterdam, with speakers from Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Our speakers were from diverse backgrounds and included youth and informal settlement activists. As the first visa application from an African was denied, we contacted Nikki who was recommended to us by a high profile consulting group. Nikki appealed the decision and won. Her subsequent advice and support assisted us to the point, that all invited speakers received a visa. She was great to work with: highly knowledgeable, engagement through care and a vision of justice and not a job, and personal warmth. We can't imagine ever doing anything in the Netherlands that involves immigration matters without Nikki's help.
