Pellikaan Bouwbedrijf

I really enjoy working with Pellikaan and appreciate the true partnership relationship that they aspire to in all aspects of the project. We have produced some truly fantastic schemes that raise the barrier of the quality of public leisure facilities

First time working with Pellikaan. Initially communication wasn't great on both sides. However we did come up with an agreement. Pellikaan work in a very different way to other contractors in the UK, as a lot is done in house. It took a while to get used to these differences. A pre-construction meeting to run through how Pellikaan work would have been useful. From a design point of view we felt a little disconnected from the process as everything is done within Pellikaan. However now we know how Pellikaan work we now have a greater understanding and can see the benefits of the process. The end product looked fantastic and you could see the quality.

As an operator of over 350 centres across the UK GLL have a very clear view of what does and doesn't work within our centres so we requested some changes which the Pellikaan team might not have agreed with at the time however we know the change is beneficial for the users / staff.

I am a subcontractor of Pellikaan and have been asked to complete this form,. so unfortunately I cannot answer some of the questions

It was a pleasure to work along side pellikaans Construction team. The end result excelled our expectations and provided us with a completed design that we will be proud of.

I have a wide range of experience in working with contractors on projects. Without any reservation Pellikaan have been the best contractor I have worked with to date. First class in every respect (NB I don't give 10 scores easilly!

A listening, solutions focussed, quality design and delivery company. Worked together in a collaborative manner to find the best outcomes for affordability of the project. Always honest, open and transparent about the options and willing to consider alternatives. A pleasure to work with as all involved wanted a high quality leisure centre that met the community's wishes.

Het ontwerp was grotendeels gereed en onderdeel van de aanbesteding. Pellikaan heeft dit met partners nader uitgewerkt. Tbv de uitvoeringsvoortgang zijn er enkele schoonheidsfoutjes ingeslopen. Al met al tevreden en goed project.

Ervaring is positief

Pellikaan have again demonstrated their ability to deliver a project to an excellent standard, ahead of programme and within the budget through their focus on Employer / project team relationships, attention to detail and commitment to exceeding client expectations.

The whole team (and everyone associated to this building) have been hugely impressive. Pellikaan have a reputation as industry leaders and delivering excellence and in our experience with The Hive it is clear to see why this is the case. I would not hesistate to recommend Pellikaan as the contractor of choice and hope that we can work together on many more projects in the future.

We benefitted greatly from Pellikaans experience of constructing leisure centres and their knowledge of operating them. Pellikaan made valuable improvements to the original layout of the building, resulting in an additional room being created. The team were very open and friendly and we were kept well informed of progress. Where issues arose, Pellikaan presented a range of options to overcome them. The finished building is of a very high quality and has a standard of finish. Both we and the centre operators have benefited from and greatly appreciate the post-handover support we have received. We would not hesitate to recommend Pellikaan to others and in fact we have already done so!

Good working relationship with company from day one and trust was also built from day one. All questions and concerns were answered quickly and responses always given explaining decisions.
